Listening on Android

Hello

I'd love to listen to the series on my Samsung smartphone. Do you know of a podcatcher that can successfully download it for Android? I have tried Antenna Pod but it didn't seem to work.

Secure Icon on webpage

Hi Peter,

thank you for your awesome work.

The embedded player on each page containing an episode (for example: https://www.historyofphilosophy.net/cynics) uses a http:// instead of an https:// url to the mp3 to be played.

This causes chrome to not to display the green "secure" text in the URL bar, and Firefox to show a yellow warning sign. All other pages are fine.

Podbean does seem to support using https:// urls to their mp3, so that seems to be easily fixable.

Hi internetsecuritybrigades, Thanks for your comment. Yes newer episodes use https while older episodes (I think before March 2016) use http - I will update the older episodes to https in the database...

Server Certificate expired

iTunes returns this error and will not download either HoPwoAG or HoI&AP episodes. My computer's time and date are correct.

"There seems to be a problem downloading [episode]. A secure network connecetion could not be etablished. The certificate for this server has expired. Check that your computer's time and date are correct and try again."

iTunes error

I suspect the problem is at your end because I have iTunes on my machine and it is downloading fine (I just tested it). Plus no one else has complained, not yet at least. Can you check to see if it is still not working?

kindle version of the late antiquity book

I enjoy the podcasts and the books, but I have vidion problems with hard copy. Is OUP going to publish the late antiquety book on kindle? Consider this a nudge.

Actually we always put up the zip file once the mini-series is completed, otherwise we would have to re-do it every time we post a new episode.
